Week #19 - November 5th, 2017 - TONGA VS. SAMOA

I love being a missionary!
KIA ORA!

This week was so crazy!! There have been some changes to online teaching, and we can skype and use facebook messenger with our investigators online! We are also able to skype in on lessons with our investigators as local missionaries so that's cool! So if it shows I'm on facebook, I'm not being dodgy. haha It's all goods! So this week Sister Flores and I had some really powerful lessons with our investigators that are progressing. One of them, Pat who is 40 from Thailand originally, is getting baptized on Saturday!! She brought us (dairy free!!!!!!!) ice cream the other day to the VC so we ate it with her outside of the temple underneath a

tree. It was so nice! She is so awesome and has a STRONG  testimony about our Savior, Jesus Christ. We had a really cool lesson with Angelo, from the Philippines and you could tell the Spirit touched him as we were reading the scriptures. We watched a really neat video on lds.org about the sacrament that made him cry a little. The Spirit was so strong!! Arleigh is doing good! She is still waiting to figure out marriage so she can get baptized, she is becoming more and more like Christ each day. The work is pumpin!

Okay so on Saturday there was rugby game Tonga vs. Samoa which was so crazy, there were heaps of people coming to the VC before the game and it was so busy and packed with Tongans getting all ready for the game. There were riots in Auckland and it started happening in
Much needed FACEMASK (nothings changed hehe)
Hamilton so we got told to keep off the streets. haha It was so crazy, fireworks everywhere!! and TONGA WON! Then on Sunday, William Hopoate, who is from Aussie and plays for Tonga, came into the VC with his family for family pictures. haha That was cool. Him and his wife are so nice and it was fun to talk to them! There is a Mormon message about him that we play all the time here at the VC! This week has been great! I'm excited for this week because we have a lot of work to do! The mission is crazy, I'm learning heaps constantly and A LOT about who I am. GRATITUDE and LOVE go a long way.

This is Adam and his caretaker, Goeffrey. Adam was in gangs all his life and got beaten up very bad and has brain damage now.  He comes to the VC about every other week and we sing songs with him and he prays for us. Whenever we are singing and he prays he has a huge light in his eyes! He wants to be baptized but has to wait, but Heavenly Father knows the intents of his heart! His story is so powerful.
